Volunteers
are essential in maintaining the high quality of service on our 24 hour support
and information line. Volunteers have kept the line operational for the past
twenty-six years, seven days a week. That’s a lot of hours!
Requirements and Responsibilities of the support
line volunteer:
· To complete a ten week training session
· To commit to being an active volunteer
for at least one year
· To take at least four shifts on the line
per month (day or night shifts)
· To attend a monthly meeting of
volunteers
To Become A Volunteer:
1. Call the main office, 566-1864 to find
out when the next training session begins. The sessions usually run in the
fall.
2. Attend a pre-training interview. This
interview is designed to help you learn more about the Centre, and for us to
learn more about you.
3. Attend the training sessions
